Terms of Use
Last updated
These terms set out the rules for using KaziUG: how job listings work, how to stay safe from recruitment scams, the terms of our CV help service and the limits of our responsibility. By using the website you agree to them.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of KaziUG at https://kaziug.com. By using the website, subscribing to job alerts or using our CV help service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. Our service
KaziUG publishes job vacancies in Uganda, sends job alerts by email to people who subscribe, and offers a paid CV help service. Searching and applying for jobs on KaziUG is free for job seekers.
3. Job listings
- Job adverts are provided by employers or are based on vacancies that employers have made public. We check adverts before publishing them, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is accurate, that a vacancy is still available, or that an employer will reply to you.
- KaziUG is not the employer and is not a recruitment agent for the jobs listed, unless an advert clearly says so. Any application, interview, offer or employment is between you and the employer.
- Salaries are shown as monthly amounts in Ugandan shillings where the employer shares them, and are a guide only.
- We may edit, refuse or remove any job advert at any time, for example when it closes, if it breaks these terms, or if we have concerns about it.
4. Stay safe from recruitment scams
- Genuine employers do not ask you to pay to apply, to get an interview, or for “processing”, training, medical checks or uniforms before you are hired.
- Never send money or share mobile money PINs, bank details or passwords with someone offering you a job.
- Be careful with job offers that seem too good to be true, or that ask you to travel abroad urgently.
- If a job advert on KaziUG looks suspicious, tell us by email at markbrightbaraka@gmail.com, on WhatsApp at +256 773 034311 or through the contact form at https://kaziug.com/contact and we will investigate and remove it if necessary.
KaziUG will never ask job seekers to pay to apply for a job.
5. Using the website
When you use KaziUG you agree not to:
- give false information, or submit someone else’s details without their permission;
- use the website for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, or to send spam;
- try to break, overload or get around the website’s security, for example by automated submissions; or
- copy large parts of the website in a way that harms it. Search engines and AI assistants may crawl the website within the rules in our robots.txt file.
We may block access to anyone who breaks these rules.
6. Job alerts
Job alerts are sent only to people who subscribe and confirm their email address. Every alert includes a link to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you. We may change how often alerts are sent or stop them.
7. CV help service
- The CV fix service costs the price shown on our CV help page (UGX 100,000 per CV at the time these terms were last updated). Before we start, we confirm the price, how to pay and when you will receive your CV.
- You are responsible for making sure the information in your CV is true. We improve how your CV is written and presented; we do not invent qualifications or experience.
- We work hard to make your CV as strong as possible, but we cannot promise that it will lead to an interview or a job.
- We treat your CV and personal details confidentially, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- If you are unhappy with the work, contact us and we will try to put it right.
8. For employers
If you ask us to advertise a vacancy, you confirm that the job is real and open, that the details are accurate and lawful, and that the advert does not discriminate against applicants in a way the law does not allow, including under the Employment Act, 2006. You must not ask applicants for any payment. We may edit or refuse adverts.
9. Content and trademarks
The KaziUG name, logo, website design and our own text belong to KaziUG. Job adverts belong to the employers who provided them. You may share links to our pages, but you may not copy our content for commercial use without our permission.
10. Links to other websites
Job adverts and other pages link to employers’ websites, WhatsApp and other services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.
11. Our responsibility to you
We provide the website “as is” and aim to keep it available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or that job information is complete. To the extent the law allows, KaziUG is not liable for losses caused by an employer or other third party, by relying on a job advert, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the laws of Uganda.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the website means you accept the updated terms.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have jurisdiction over any dispute. Please contact us first: most problems can be solved quickly and informally.
14. Contact
You can contact us by email at markbrightbaraka@gmail.com, on WhatsApp at +256 773 034311 or through the contact form at https://kaziug.com/contact, or write to us at Plot 01, Palm Lane Namugongo.
